MDOT MTA Transit Asset Management Strategy

As the asset management program at Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) matures, the original roadmap for their transit asset management plan (TAMP) needed to be reassessed. This led to the development of a new asset management strategy that included updated agencywide goals and objectives for asset management and a plan for key projects that would help the agency achieve the new goals.

To ensure the new strategy is aligned with the asset management work that has been completed to date and is capable of getting the agency where it wants to go into the future — JMT Technology Group assisted in the development of the content and timelines within the asset management strategy.  In revisiting their asset management strategy and realigning goals, MDOT MTA is better equipped to move the asset management program forward. This asset management strategy will become an integral part of the 2022 transit asset management plan.
