Microsoft 365 Administrator - Hunt Valley, Maryland

The successful candidate will serve as an organization’s systems administrator for Microsoft 365 application stack.  This person will be responsible for effective administration of JMT Microsoft 365 environment. They will P]participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the JMT environment. They will also ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.  

Annual compensation for this position is $70,000.00 - $110,00.00 commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Manage and monitor Office 365 services
  • Deploy Azure AD Environments 
  • Deploy and manage Azure Resources 
  • Deploy advanced Microsoft 365 Services including Enterprise and Mobility
  • Formulate and create Office 365 SharePoint sites for domain users and external access 
  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring 
  • Assist with the migration of data into the Office 365 cloud platform and Office 365 SharePoint
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services
  • Monitor and communicate to stakeholders the performance of the services 
  • Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution
  • Assist with the creation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support 
  • Administer and support Office 365, Security & Compliance and MS Exchange policies

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience

  • Microsoft certifications a plus  

Preferred Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Experience creating PowerShell scripts to perform administrative tasks is a plus

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Track and Maintain databases, including owner/operators of mobile phones.
  • Initiate requests for new service, upgrades, replacements, AirWatch accounts, and Hot Spots when applicable
  • Prepare agreements to be signed by personnel receiving phones
  • Program and set up individual accounts
  • Work with mobile service provider(s)
  • Schedule appointments with individuals to complete setup, which includes setting up Outlook account, TAMS, Verizon Cloud, etc.
  • Wipe old phones as they are returned from personnel
  • Perform testing tasks of medium to high complexity across multiple projects
  • Develop and execute Test Cases across multiple projects
  • Contribute to project Test Plans
  • Draft reports summarizing findings, categorizing bugs by criticality level, and making recommendations for prioritization.
  • Document and maintain meeting minutes, project scope specifications, stakeholders’ requirements applicable documentation, as necessary.
  • Investigate end-users' concerns or reported issues, taking corrective action as appropriate and submitting documentation tickets to the vendor.
  • Perform multiple tasks/project with set deadlines.
  • Monitor unit email to compile and assess end-user feedback to propose suggestions for improving system performance.
  • Identify, set, monitor, and achieve individual goals
  • Leverage mentorship and peer relationships to increase proficiency in testing

Required Experience
