Wednesday, November 15th is GIS Day!!

GIS Day, inspired by Ralph Nader, was first held on November 19, 1999, during Geography Awareness Week to inspire people to learn more about geography and GIS technology. Organized by the National Geographic Society, the Association of American Geographers, and Esri, GIS Day became a celebrated event by over 100,000 people around the world. Celebrated on the third Wednesday of November every year, it provides opportunities for individuals and organizations to showcase how GIS is an invaluable tool that impacts our daily lives.
